Rugby player Stephen (FSG) , at 6'9" and very strong, literally whisked Clare off her feet last Saturday at St Peter's Church Fleetwood. After the service, unperturbed by the rain and wind we headed to Springfield House Hotel via the summer shores of Fleetwood

At Springfield House a warm greeting awaited us by Lynn and Leisha, delightful canapes and a truly lovely meal . and lots and lots of photos taken of family and friends,- in between the showers.

I always think if everything goes well, someone is looking down on you, and on Saturday, Teresa and Greg had a perfect day.

Teresa's Maggie Sottero dress shimmered in the sunshine on the long path from the church doorway to the lytch gate .

The reception at Springfield House Hotel in Pilling ,as always brimming over with summer colour making it the ideal setting for wedding photographs

As part of the booking we offered a free pre-wedding session a 12 x 12" black and white photograph mounted into a signature frame which friends completed at the reception with greetings and best wishes.

Greg and Teresa are visiting Dubai,where temperatures can reach 40 degrees at this time of year but not to missed are the fountains at Burj Khalifa and the Souks

Our lovely chinese wedding in Manchester

When Chun and Anna completed our booking forms, it was a surprise to see Chun had 300 family guests attending the wedding, whereas Anna listed only 6 relatives. The reason, Chun and Anna had a civil ceramony at Heron House, Manchester last Monday but in September they have a church ceramony planned in Poland.

For the ceramony and to welcome all the family and friends into the banqueting suite Anna choose a elegant tea length ivory dress adding red in her headress, shoes bouquet of roses and the much needed umbrella.

Just before the luxurious banquet Anna changed into a beautiful chinese red wedding outfit with the exquisite dragon and phoenix beading.

During the banquet after course five, Anna and Chun visited all 30 tables for the traditional chinese table toasts, when the banquet was completed the hour long Tea ceramony began. Chinese wedding are rich in customs

As are Chinese is limited ( Michael knows 1,2,3,smile )
a special thanks to Mrs Yuet san Li - mother of the groom who arranged all the families into groups for photography.

This has to be one on the loveliest Monday wedding we have had the pleasure of being part of and the food the best ever we have tasted.

After a very wet morning , it was a welcome surprise for the sun to appear late afternoon to allow is the opportunity to capture the family photography requested by John and Sinead.

The 140 guests/family had come far and wide and many from Ireland.

Sinead is part of a large family,and it was no surprise that our brief was for many family photographs in the grounds of the Marriot Hotel, Preston. following a full nuptual mass at St Josephs Church Ansdell.

As experienced photographers of over 20 years, we always listen to every Bride and Groom, to ensure we capture the day their special way, and for John and Sinead, The family photographs are a very important part of the wedding day.

Paul and Sonia's wedding day on Saturday was packed full of surprises, from the moment the helicopter was spotted hovering above Lytham Hall bringing Paul to the Hall in true style.

Looking forward to visiting Lytham Hall later this week and being part of Paul and Sonia's wedding day celebrations.

Lytham Hall is a fine grade I listed 18th century manor house on the Lancashire coast. The Hall is situated in 80 acres of mature
parkland, and was built for Thomas Clifton by John Carr of York between 1752-1764 on the site of an earlier manor house and Priory settled by Benedictine monks from Durham.

We have visited Lytham Hall many times for open days, events and weddings and feel we do the house and grounds well.

Jane a farmers daughter had the most wonderful farmhouse cottage, to indulge us for the start of her wedding day. oldy worldly rooms, rich in character, old beams an absolute joy to commence photography on her wedding day.

Jane had a magnificent horse drawn carriage to take her to the church St Pauls in Warton.another wonderful church locally to us and very photogenic, and with a marquee in their own field, across from the house, the day couldn't have been planned better.if only it had not rained. and rain it did, never easing all day.but with so many lovely features around us, we amazed ourselves at the abundance of photographs we where able to show Jane and Stephen a few days after their wedding day, if fact they struggled to choose for their album and ending up with around 150 photographs . Have a wonderful day on the 29th. Happy anniversary.

Erica arrived at St John the Baptist Church in Broughton in a prestine white Citroen 2CV. with the roof open enjoying the lovely warm sunshine- with only thoughts for Graham- and not aware that her bouquet of spring flowers was still at home ( Dad rushed back )

This few moments gave us a wonderful oppertunity, to take some special querky photographs of Erica and her three bridesmaids , while all her guests waited patiently inside the church!

It came to our attention recently that a local prestige venue where strongly recommending to the bride and groom to use their approved photographer . I have also discovered that some venues have a financial interest in getting you to engage certain services.

We do not pay a commission to any supplier as we feel that our work should be judged on its merits alone . Many venues do recommend us, but that is based on our professional service, bride and grooms comments ,and the finished wedding album . So being approved may not guarantee the best service for you on your day .

Incidentally we are approved by the B.I.P.P. ( "British Institute of Professional Photographers" )and thus our work has been approved and checked, awarded one of the highest standards attainable in our profession, and the seal of approval of a first class quality service.

Alan and Tessa called on Friday evening to view their wedding day on our very popular musical DVD presentations.
Tessa and Alan also received a cd with all 565 images from their day.
Having travelled back to Manchester later in the evening, I can hardly believe I received an e-mail 18 hours later with their choice of 100 images to be designed into a A4 wedding story book.
This must be a record!.

Last Sunday, we exhibited at the HILTON HOTEL WEDDING FAYRE in BLACKPOOL, the hightlight of the show was without doubt the wedding extraviganza show, featuring gowns by "Catwalk Designer Fashions of Church Street Blackpool "Ella Grace Bridal" also of Church Street Blackpool, and mens outfits from "Moss Bros of Freeport Fleetood and "Debenhams" of Blackpool.

First apologies for the delay in blogging this report, but within hours for completing this wedding we boarded a plane to Portugal for a weeks holiday,- it was lovely to have a bit a quality time with our younger daughter Sarah before she returned to her home in Australia- talking of holidays.Gemma our beautiful bride of a day is now away on honeymoon with Tim and was to find out the destination of her honeymoon only at the airport. Tim had managed to keep this holiday a secret right up to the last moment. - how romantic.
We also with be keeping the wedding photographs under wraps until Gemma and Tim have viewed over the weekend of 23/24 October, then we will upload on to the internet for all the family an friends to view.

Wedding photographs from Kelly and Bob's Friday Wedding Day

We only meet Bob and Kelly a few times prior to their wedding day, but they are so friendly that we became friends so quickly and really feel that we have known them forever,so it was no surprise that 90% of the wedding guests was made up of friends.
Kelly and Bob choose The Drive Methodist Church, St Annes on Sea for their service and only a short walk away the reception at the Inn on the Prom.

Clouds wedding cars gave Bob and Kelly a short ride along the promenade in their beautiful black and cream Rolls Royce "Grace" with bridal party in a matching limousine. meeting us on the promenade for some fun wedding photographs.

While the bridesmaids and groomsmen made their way to the reception we had a little time for those extra special photograph of Bob and Kelly .... but you will have to wait until Bob and Kelly return from their honeymoon in Turkey before you can see all the wedding photographs,

After the service at the White Church, conducted my one of our favourite ministers Rev. David Philips. the guests made their way to Lytham Hall. Kirsten and Darren wished to make a stop on Lytham Green for a few photographs , dispite the weather being chilly and damp, Kirsten and Darren smiled all the time.

When we arrived at Lytham Hall the rain had set in for day. Having exclusive use of the Hall, allowed the guests to relax in one of the many grand rooms. while we used the stunning staircase at Lytham Hall for the formal family photographs requsted by Kirsten and Darren.

As part of the wedding package, Darren and Kirsten received a free engagement session prior to their day and the favourite photograph was displayed in the Gold room at Lytham Hall in a black signature frame for all the guests to add their best wishes to Kirsten and Darren.

.. The De Vere Hotel Blackpool hosted the first of many wedding Fayres being held in Blackpool area in the coming weeks. Our stand in the foyer was always busy, and the new personalised guest book looks to be a hit.

Wedding photography yesterday for David and Karen

Karen (breaking away from a traditional white wedding ) choose a Burgundy gown with silver embellishments and the maids dressed in mocha/ivory. when she celebrated her marriage yesterday to David in St Annes Parish Church.

Another perfect summers day, allowed us to take the formal group /requested photographs both in the church grounds and on the lawn at The Grand Hotel.

Karen and David ventured across the road for a few photographs by the waterfall on the prom, and a selection on the foreshore.( this time with Karen barefoot)

Another twist from tradition was to have the speeches prior to the wedding breakfast , we stayed to hear some wonderful anecdotes from "live with Karen" by her father and "memories shared with David" by the best man Simon

As well as a 100 photograph to be designed into a Wedding Story Book, Karen and David also selected to have our musical DVD option. this tell the story of the day from a few preparation images taken at Karens house until the end of the speeches. The photographs taken during the speeches always round the story off on a high note.

Having a bride wearing a coloured dress makes some unusual/ different photographs for our displays and I can't wait to get some enlarged for our sample frames in our new studio.

It is only fair that Karen and David should see their photos first, so sorry, you will have to wait until they return from their travels .

Shane and Julie's wedding day at St Leonard's Church, Walton le Dale, Preston

Blustery showers all day- such is the British weather, but for Shane and Julie sunshine glowed from their hearts from the moment they saw each other at the top on the aisle of St Leonard's church , Walton le Dale yesterday.

We had to resort to our portable Metz studio flash equipment for the family photographs inside the church but a break in the weather allowed us to take the bridal party( refreshed with champagne) to Miller Park for a few relaxed, fun and informal photographs along the Derby Walk, Italianate Terrace and fountain area.

All the wedding photographs from the day will be on the Internet in about 14 days.

Shane and Julie choose us to photograph their wedding day after meeting us at the Best Western Hotel Wedding Fayre in Leyland earlier this year - our next wedding fayre we will be exhibiting at is the De Vere Hotel Blackpool on Sunday 12 September.

10 handy tips
1. Be clear of your style of photographs /album
2. Discus start and end time
3. Agree an alternate plan in advance for photographs if the weather is inclement
4. Brief your photographer on any family politics
5. Tell your photographer of any must have shots.

Matthew and Kathryn's reception at The Netherwood Hotel Grange over Sands

Matthew and Kathryn really did know how to indulge the guests. starting straight after the service at St. Michael's Church Kirkham with an delicious chocolate theme afternoon Tea for the congregation in the church hall.

During Matthew and Kathryn's leisurely drive to The Netherwood hotel in Grange over Sands on the country roads in the awesome Clouds Royal Royce " Diana" The wedding guests enjoyed a wide variety of canapes , a glass of pimms and strawberries tipped in chocolate served on the hotel veranda.

When Matthew and Kathryn arrived and after a few photographs with the wedding limousine the wedding breakfast was ready to be served. Being invited to such a sumptuous 3 course meal was an absolute treat. and yes you guessed it part of the assiet of desserts was chocolate cake.

As the light was fading we finally got round to taking the family group photographs just before the big secret was revealed - A wonderful firework display with the breathtaking backdrop of Morcambe bay.

The Netherwood is a stunning hotel, beautifully landscaped sitting in the hillside overlooking the bay, an absolute joy for any wedding photographer . We feel very privileged to be asked to photograph Matthew and Kathryn's wedding day.x
